Chronic Pain Relief
Scar tissue and fibrous adhesions are generally overlooked by most health care professionals. The adverse effects that they can have on our bodies can be very dramatic. Scars and adhesions from accidents, injuries or surgery frequently result in lifelong physical difficulties for many people. They can cause pain and restrict movement anywhere in the body. Even the organs can be affected. Scar tissue and adhesion therapy is extremely effective and yields dramatic results that eliminates the pain and limited function.
Almost everyone has a scar. Some are on the outside of the body but many are below the skin caused from previous trauma or injuries. While not every scar will cause a problem, many do. This is because the body is one large, three-dimensional piece of fascia that envelops us like an intricate matrix. Any twisting, stretching or tearing of the tissue from the injury, that does not heal properly, can negatively affect this matrix causing pain and decreased mobility.

Scar Tissue & Fibrous Adhesions
Scar tissue and fibrous adhesions are the result of our body’s natural healing process and it occurs both internally and externally. The process, if working correctly, is supposed to eliminate the scars and adhesions once the wound is healed. In some cases, the person’s body is unable to properly complete this process. The altered tissue then continues to spread causing additional compensations. The most frequent symptom that develops from this is chronic pain.
Scars are of dense fibrous tissue that replace normal skin after an injury. A scar results from the biologic process of wound repair in the skin and surrounding tissue. Scar tissue is never as functional as the original tissue it has replaced. With the exception of minor lesions, every wound, external or internal, results in some degree of scarring.
Adhesions are bands of fibrous tissue that anchor and support the original wound. Unfortunately, they frequently continue to slowly spread binding together with the adjoining healthy tissue they contact. This causes gradually increasing stiffness and discomfort. Adhesions can be considered as internal scar tissue.
Scar Tissue & Fibrous Adhesion Treatment
Scar tissue and fibrous adhesion therapy treatments are extraordinarily effective. The treatment is performed with 2-3 gentle percussion instruments. Patients describe it as feeling soothing and very relaxing. Pain reduction and functional improvement are noticed immediately following the procedure. We offer an abbreviated sample treatment to allow you to experience this. There is no charge for the trial treatment.
